The Junior Varsity Skyline Raiders traveled to Richardson to face the Berkner Rams tonight. The two teams got off to decent starts after the week off, but neither really dominated. Misael Arias and Arath Moreno created a beautiful play from the right flank that ended up with a save from the goalkeeper. However, the ball didn’t travel far and Joeshua Jaramillo would tap the ball in for the first goal of the game. A few moments later Misael Arias found Joeshua Jaramillo again down the right flank and he would slot the ball into the far corner, giving Skyline the 2-0 lead going into halftime. The Raiders played much better in the 2nd half and continued to create many opportunities with little response from Berkner. Bucumi Enoch stepped into the match and played several great passes forward. One of Bucumi’s precise passes found Misael Arias, who scored to put the Raiders up 3-0. The Skyline squad continued to move the ball around for the remainder of the match and won their 7th district game of the season. The J.V. Raiders will face J.J. Pearce on Friday for the last match of the season.
